What is coaching? Coaching provides a supportive and safe environment that produces on-going mutual trust and respect. When you are a coach, you will learn how to quickly establish rapport with your clients using simple yet powerful strategies such as "backtracking". Backtracking enables you to clarify your understanding of new information the client gives you while offering the client a greater awareness of their own thoughts.
Our Coaching goes far beyond merely hearing what people say; it goes into the tone of voice, and body language. As a coach, you will learn what coaching is and how to view the world through your client’s eyes, to understand the meaning of what they say in the context of their values and goals. Proactive listening is a very important step towards better communication skills.
Coaching should be only about moving forward, not looking backward. Being a coach, you will utilise open-ended questions every day to enhance discovery and insight into the mind of the client and know the actions needed to move your clients forward. Open-ended questions is an effective strategy that turns your conversations from boring and plain to interesting and thought-provoking.
Coaching opens doors to a different, extremely powerful kind of goal setting. As a coach, you will be outcome orientated, always evaluating whether your client is on the right track and taking action to reach their goals. Coaches use S.M.A.R.R.T (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, relevant and timely) goal setting to ensure complete understanding and accountability.
Coaching strategically delves into very specific issues and opportunities that are central to the client’s goals. As a coach, you will be able to empower your clients to prioritise their issues and guide them in making difficult decisions. Coaching is NOT giving advice. Good coaches help their clients to identify positive action on their own. The mastery of creating actions opens a whole new world in the way that you create long-term success.
Coaching instils long-term positive change. As a coach, you will utilise precise time management tools to help with your client’s self-discipline and make them accountable for the results of their intended actions. Changing attitudes and behaviour to reach the agreed goals is much easier when accountability is present.
We need to expand our minds to reach the peak of our careers. Prior to delving into coach training, ask yourself what it is you want to achieve. Is it higher self-esteem and higher income? What will your future be like once you have reached the height of your career? What internal fears do you need to overcome to reach total job satisfaction? The clearer you are on what you want, the more coach training can help you achieve it.
We do registration a little differently here. All our enrolment staff are professional coaches. They’ve walked in your shoes. The Coaches will ask you thought-provoking questions to help you discover how coach training will help you reach the peak of your career, and attain higher self-esteem and job satisfaction.
To provide you with the most flexible solution possible, we have created a modular course that can be done on-site. In Modules I-IV of The Art & Science of Coaching, you will learn the fundamental tools, skills and practices that equip you to deliver excellent coaching. Practice makes perfect; that is why we advise you to begin coaching as soon as you have finished Module I.
Coaches never stop learning; it is a commitment that we make to ourselves as well as our clients. That being said, we still need an official acknowledgement that we have achieved a certain level of skill and professionalism. For coaches, that level is ICF Certification. In Module V we help you to refine and master your coaching skills to not only reach ICF Certification standards but to exceed beyond them.
We’ve helped over 45,000 people reach their goals and counting…!
